On Angelho’s career in classical music
With scholastic training since childhood, Maestro Díaz graduated as a piano teacher and performer at the “Amadeo Roldán” Conservatory of Music (Havana, Cuba) in the 80’s of the last century. Winner of competitions and national distinctions, he obtained a scholarship at the “P. I. Tchaikovsky” Conservatory, where he pursued higher studies in the 1990s. Teachers such as Teresita Junco, Rita Maria Iturralde, Lourdes Galvez and Teresita Valiente forged his technique and knowledge of the piano. Impressionism and French music, world contemporary musical art and -recently- the piano work of George Gershwin summarize the genres and composers to which he has devoted his attention in recent years, making them part of his current regular concert programs. .
